In a major move to strengthen the cultural and artistic infrastructure of the Kingdom’s spiritual capital, the Roqey Foundation for Art, Culture and Peace organized a ceremony on Saturday February 7, 2026 to sign partnership agreements with a host of institutions and cultural players.
This initiative is part of the intensive preparations for the second edition of the “Festival Générations Musicales et Cultures”.
The Centre culturel Les Étoiles, located in the ancient medina of Fez, hosted this serious and collaborative event, in the presence of numerous associations, artists and media representatives.
A renewed vision of cultural action
The ceremony, opened by the recitation of verses from the Holy Koran and the playing of the national anthem, began with a speech by Mr. Omar Jannati, founding president of the festival. He presented the roadmap for the second edition, highlighting the festival’s philosophy, its forward-looking vision and the strategic challenges that make it a lever of cultural development for the city.
For his part, the president of the Roqey Foundation and director of the festival underlined the central role of civil society in promoting cultural action. He recalled that this event aims to anchor the values of peace, coexistence and active citizenship.
