As part of the second edition of the Musical Generations & Cultures Festival,<\/strong>the city of Fez hosted on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the seminar hall of the Chamber of Industry, Commerce and Services, a distinguished cultural and intellectual seminar entitled<\/strong>: “Culture, knowledge transfer, and musical excellence: The University in the Heart of the City”. <\/p>

This meeting was a space for dialogue and exchange of visions between academics, artists, researchers and those interested in cultural affairs, where they discussed the renewed roles of the Moroccan university in keeping pace with cultural and artistic transformations, and enhancing the presence of knowledge within society, making it a living force beyond the boundaries of university halls and amphitheaters. <\/p>

Participants in this symposium emphasized that the Moroccan university is no longer just a space for academic training and knowledge production, but has become an incubator for thought and creativity and a key actor in building cultural and aesthetic awareness within society. <\/p>

The speakers stressed that the role of the university goes beyond the walls of amphitheaters and classrooms to include contributing to the revitalization of cultural and artistic life, preserving national memory, and framing new generations according to a vision that combines knowledge, creativity, and openness to society. <\/p>

Culture is not a fringe of knowledge, but one of its most influential manifestations in society, and the closer the university gets to the city, the closer it gets to its true mission of enlightenment and shaping the future. <\/p>

    This intellectual symposium emphasized that culture is one of the main pillars of building a knowledge society, and that investing in scientific research, arts and creativity is an essential entry point for achieving sustainable cultural development. <\/p>

    The discussions also highlighted that when a university opens up to the city and interacts with various cultural and artistic actors, it becomes more capable of fulfilling its mission of enlightenment and shaping the future, turning culture into a solid bridge connecting thought and creativity, academic expertise and community vitality, and the memory of yesterday and the ambitions of tomorrow. <\/p>
